Under a cold gloomy sky with the threat of rain they came from around the country to converge on SKATERFEST.  This was only the second year for this event hosted by Professional Marine Racing, but because of it's founders deep roots in the sport of Offshore Racing, he was able to call upon a few friends to bring the largest single gene pool of high performance knowledge to ever be assembled under one roof. This year, other groups came out to support the event such as NJPPC (New Jersey Performance Powerboat Club), Smitty's Marine, Lightning Jacks, Sterling Engines and many more. Look for an upcoming article in Powerboat Magazine about this one off event as they had a reporter snooping around the marina and interviewing the OSO members. This gathering has only been made possible by the connectivity that we all enjoy through the Internet. OSO (www.offshoreonly.com) serves as the portal that we all reach each other through.
Long Live OSO and SKATERFEST!

Greetings from New Joisey where you can run 900SCs without mufflers thanks to our wonderful Marine Police and Coast Guard who fully support all of our local Offshore Racing and High Performance events.
Darren is trying to figure out how to strap a pair of those Sterlings onto the stern of his wheelchair.
From the new version of Men in Black, it's the Prop Doctor on the left, Dr.Otto Fischer in the middle and OSO's Phillip Filippone on the right.
